The best way to paint walls

Work area preparation

You can start painting the wall by preparing the work area well by following the following:

Remove all accessories from the wall before starting painting, including knobs, switchboards, outlet covers, thermostats, etc., and any accessories that cannot be removed should be covered with masking tape.

Keep all furniture, appliances, and other belongings away from the wall to be painted, and furniture that cannot be removed can be covered.

Cover the floor of the room before starting to paint the wall, by using a cotton cloth, as it works to absorb spills and paints quickly.

Primer paint applicator

A primer or primer must be applied to the wall before applying the main paint, by using a long paintbrush, then rolling it back and forth up and down the wall until it is completely covered, and the manufacturer’s paint drying instructions, which are located on the primer paint box, must be followed. Make sure it dries well before applying the main paint.

Apply another coat of paint

Another layer of paint can be applied according to the depth of the desired color. If you want to get a darker color, you can paint the wall with another layer in the same sequence and method, and start painting from the outer edges of the wall to the inner area of it, and you must wait for about two to four hours between each Layer and another until the paint dries.

Allow the paint to dry

The paint should be left to dry for the next day, and most types of paint often take between 24-48 hours to dry, and you should avoid touching the paint before it dries to prevent stains, in addition, the tape should be removed from the accessories after making sure the paint is dry
